Widowed mom Leanna operates a jam and jelly booth at a local farmers' market, but her teenage son Chester gets into a little mischief. An innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time, Maggie needs rescuing. Her father Emory and Leanna meet at the police station. Emory, needing another worker at his shed-building business, hires Chester and serves as a positive role model for Chester, who no longer has a father. On the other hand, Emory's daughter sews such beautiful quilts, bags, and Amish dolls that when the booth next to hers becomes available, Leanna approaches Emory and Maggie about Maggie's selling her creations in Leanna's expanded booth and Chester about selling his homemade bird cages in her booth.
